This session will introduce K–8 teachers to Universal Design for Learning as a proactive approach to designing lessons that provide multiple means of engagement, representation, and expression. Participants will explore practical strategies to ensure every student has equitable access to meaningful learning experiences and can demonstrate understanding in ways that reflect their strengths.
This session will focus on how general and special education teachers can partner effectively to design and deliver instruction that meets the needs of all learners in the elementary classroom. Participants will explore practical strategies, shared planning structures, and inclusive practices that ensure access, engagement, and success for every student. Emphasis will be placed on building strong collaborative relationships that lead to more cohesive instruction and improved student outcomes.
