This session will explore how foundational literacy skills developed in Spanish Immersion instruction can support English reading acquisition through intentional cross-linguistic transfer. This session will show how to leverage students’ existing phonological awareness, decoding skills, and orthographic knowledge in Spanish to enhance instruction within the UFLI Foundations framework.
